Mark Anderson, CDT, President/CEO Image Dental Arts

Mark was born in Fletcher, NC and now resides in Clyde, NC. A graduate of Enka High School, he moved on to study Dental Laboratory Technology at Durham Tech and received his Associates Degree in Business Administration at AB Tech. Mark has been a Certified Dental Technician for over 20 years and holds a Certification in the PTC program. Education is at the utmost importance to him and is shown through his continuing pursuit of higher education classes he attends yearly and the educational courses he provides for clients at Image Dental Arts.

Mark orchestrated the building of the Removable Department at Anderson Dental Lab and served as the Vice President for 14 years, until starting Image Dental Arts in 2002. With Image Dental Arts, Mark loves the challenge and art of each product we offer, seeing the results of our craftmanship chair-side, and the fact that those products change lives and smiles for the better.

Mark has three children: Kylie, Cole and Kloyee. Kylie is married and is expecting her second bundle of joy. Cole graduated from ETSU. Kloyee attends North Carolina State University. Mark’s wife, Jennifer, is a Registered Hygienist as well as a real estate agent. Jennifer has two children, Jake and Landon.

Mark enjoys the outdoors. It is his refuge. He enjoys spending time with his family at the lake, hunting, fishing hiking and traveling.

Chris Norris, CDT

Chris serves as the Removable Technical Manager for Image Dental Arts. Chris started his career in Dental Technology in the U.S. Airforce in 1981. He has lectured extensively to Dentists and Technicians for more than 25 years. For over 5 years he has been involved in immediate load hybrid surgeries. Chris spearheaded the Ultimate Image and has worked on over 100 immediate load hybrid cases to date. With his near 40 years of experience and chairside presence, Chris has become one of the nation’s best technicians at immediate load hybrid cases.

When not in the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim and his children. He is an avid hunter and loves camping.

Amy Packer, CDT

Amy was born in Clarkton, located in southeastern NC. She received an Associate degree from Bladen Community College in 1993 and her certification in Dental Laboratory Technology in 2004. Since joining our team in 2003, she served as the Crown & Bridge/ Implant manager at Image until 2017. She is currently serving as the Customer Consultant/Relations Coordinator. Amy has been a Director on the NCDLA for the past 12 years and is the current President. Amy received the Rising Star Award and the Merit Award from the NCDLA.

In her spare time Amy enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling and has a fascination with visiting historical places and reading about them.

Angie Craven: Customer Care/Reception

Angie joined our team in 2020. She came to us from Kentucky with 20 years of Dental Lab experience. In 2019 she traveled to Asheville for vacation and loved it so much that she decided to make it her home.

Angie enjoys spending time with her partner and dog, hiking, camping, and exploring new places.

Tracey Boyer

Tracey is a native of Asheville and graduated from Erwin High School. Tracey joined Image in 2005 as a route driver and quickly moved into the position of Customer Service and Shipping/Receiving. Tracey is an integral part of our lab and signifies the roll of customer service! She is the friendly voice that greets you on the phone, in charge of log in and billing. She loves helping customers in solving problems and answering questions that they may have.

Tracey is engaged to marry her best friend and has a fur baby named Gracie. She enjoys spending time traveling, music and going to watch a good movie.

Kristen Cabral

Kristen is a native of Asheville and currently lives in Fletcher with her husband Rudy and their 2 boys, Rylen and Talon. Kristen graduated from Enka High School and attended AB Tech. She joined our Image team in 2016 and serves as our Office Administrator. She enjoys the fast- paced environment of the lab business and the people she works with.

Kristen enjoys the outdoors and spends countless hours at ballparks with Rylen, who plays all sports. Talon joined the family in December. This keeps Kristen and Rudy always on the go!

Jeff Howard

Jeff was born and raised in central Florida and now resides in Candler, NC. Jeff holds an Associate Degree and has attended various trade schools. He is certified as a TVS 2000 PTC trainer and joined Image in 2015. Jeff serves as our CAD/CAM Specialist. He enjoys the people he works with and the advancements in digital dentistry.

Jeff has been married for almost 40 years and has two children and three grandchildren. His son, Gabe serves in the US Army and his daughter Kaitlyn is a teacher at a local school. When not designing cases Jeff enjoys playing music, audio/video editing, family history, reading and foreign languages.

Tim Rice

Tim is a Weaverville native. He attended North Buncombe High School and AB Tech. Tim received certification in the PTC educational system and has been a dental technician for 20 plus years and enjoys the hands-on learning, daily challenges of implants and troubleshooting cases with our technicians and clients. Tim joined the Image team in 2017 and has been an integral part of our company.

When he isn’t spending time with his beautiful wife, Laura and daughter Jordan, he enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, movies and finding interesting places to dine. He also loves his UNC Tarheels.

Ella Pavlyuk: CDT iTero/Digital Specialist

Ella joined our team in 2012. She has a variety of job responsibilities at Image that include diagnostic wax ups, temp fabrication, all ceramic crown design, and overseeing the iTero scans and design of cases. Ella completed a program in Dental Technology in the Ukraine and worked for a dental lab there. After coming to the US she received an Associates Degree from AB Tech and is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from UNCG.

In her spare time, Ella is always giving back to the community with many organizations, some of which include: Big Brothers Big Sisters, NCMOM, and Young Professionals of Asheville. She also loves to hike, paddle board, skiing, exploring new restaurants, and travel.

Alex Mendez CDT Ceramics

Alex joined the Image team in 2017. He started his career in Ceramics in 2008 at a lab in Charlotte. Alex has recently taken on a leadership role in the Ceramics Department. Alex loves being a dad to two adorable children. His family is his whole world. In his spare time he writes music and plays the drums.
